The most sustainable tech is tech that already exists

Globally, people threw away 53 million tonnes of e-waste in 2019. Reusing, refurbishing and recycling means less tech ends up in the trash – and you might even save some money in the process.

Save money (and help the planet) with a refurbished phone

You won't notice the difference, but the planet will. After all, about 80% of a phone’s carbon emissions happen when it’s being made. Buying a refurbished phone helps limit that. That’s why we’ve partnered with Kingfisher to launch the Second Life Shop , filled with amazing refurbished phones. It’s your new favourite phone store.

Reduce waste

We’re always reviewing and improving our packaging.

We don’t use any plastic in our modem boxes. We use recycled paper and veggie inks in all our packets. We’ve reduced our mobile and data SIMs by up to 50% in size.

That also means you have less rubbish to deal with when we send you something. That’s a plus.

Reuse your modem

Part of reducing waste is making sure we’re not giving you tech you don’t need. That’s why you can use your own modem with our internet plans. (Don’t worry: you can still buy one from us if you need it. The choice is yours.)

Recycle what you can’t use

We’ve partnered with MobileMuster to make it easier. Simply download our free post back label, package up your old tech, and drop it off at your local post box or post office. That’s it.
