We’re wrapping up our ADSL internet service

Here at Belong, we’re finally finishing up our ADSL internet service for good on 31 May 2023.

If you’re one of our ADSL customers, here’s everything you need to know about what it means for you.

Why is Belong’s ADSL service ending?

With the nbn rolling out across Australia, ADSL internet is set to be wound down, which means that, sooner or later, people on ADSL services will need to move to one of the nbn internet services or to mobile internet technology.

As that process continues, we’ve decided it’s time for Belong to wrap up its ADSL service. If you’re an ADSL customer, unfortunately that means your internet service with Belong will be coming to an end.

What happens to my Belong ADSL service?

Your Belong ADSL service will wrap up on 31 May 2023. That means you’ll need to organise a new service if you want internet access after that date.

Some options for your internet

If you’re reading this, it’s likely that you don’t have a fixed nbn service available at your property – but here are some other options for your internet when your Belong ADSL service finishes up.

A different ADSL provider

You can move your internet to another provider who’s still offering ADSL, such as Telstra.

5G wireless home internet

If your property can’t connect to the nbn, another good option is 5G wireless home internet. This uses mobile phone-style cellular tower technology to pipe internet into your home, instead of using a fixed nbn or ADSL connection.

NBN Co’s wireless or satellite services

NBN Co also has other services for properties that aren’t connected to its fixed network – including wireless and satellite services. Check out what NBN Co services are available at your property

What happens for my final month’s fees?

For your final month of ADSL service, you’ll only be charged for the part of the month in which you actually receive ADSL. If you’ve paid your final month in advance, you’ll get a partial refund through your payment method.
