Switching to eSIM on Android devices

Method 1: Swap using the Belong website

Before you start, make sure your device is connected to wi-fi for the entire time you install your eSIM, and that your device has enough battery to last the whole installation process.

Step 1: On the Belong website

1. Log in to your account on the Belong website.

2. Select ‘Manage mobile plan’ for the service you’re moving to eSIM.

3. Select ‘Move to a new SIM’, then ‘Swap to eSIM’.

4. Enter the code sent to your mobile number – it’s valid for one hour.

5. Choose ‘Install eSIM manually’.

6. Scan the QR code shown, using the device you want to use your eSIM with. Make sure you leave the website page open – you’ll come back to it later.

Step 2: On your Andriod device

1. Tap ‘Add’ when asked if you want to add the Belong eSIM.

2. Once you see ‘Belong eSIM ready’, go back to the Belong website to complete the next step.

Step 3: On the Belong website

You must submit your eSIM swap to complete the process.

1. Back on the Belong website, click ‘Check eSIM installation’.

2. Hit ‘Submit eSIM swap’. We’ll send you an email/SMS to let you know the swap is underway.
   Note: eSIM swap can take up to 30 minutes.

3. We’ll send you another email once the swap is finished. Restart your device so it recognises your new eSIM.

Note: If you get a message on your device saying ‘Unable to Activate eSIM’, it means the swap hasn’t been completed on Belong’s side. Go back to Step 3: On the Belong website and complete the steps.

Method 2: Swap using the Belong app

Before you start, make sure you've updated to the latest version of the Belong app. Please also make sure your device is connected to wi-fi for the entire time you install your eSIM and that your device has enough battery to last the whole installation process.

Step 1: On the Belong app

1. Select ‘Manage mobile’ for the service you’re moving to eSIM.

2. Select ‘Move to a new SIM’, then ‘Swap to eSIM’.

3. Enter the code sent to your mobile – it’s valid for one hour.

4. Tap ‘Continue with Belong app’.

5. Tap ‘Start installing eSIM’. Your device will leave the Belong app during the installation process.

Step 2: On your Android device

1. Tap ‘Add’ when asked if you want to add the Belong eSIM.

2. Wait for your device to check the SIM information. You’ll be taken back to the Belong app once the check is complete.

Step 3: On the Belong app

You must submit your eSIM swap to complete the process.

1. Back on the Belong app, hit ‘Submit eSIM swap’. We’ll send you an email/SMS to let you know the swap is underway.
   Note: eSIM swap can take up to 30 minutes.

2. We’ll send you another email once the swap is finished. Restart your device so it recognises your new eSIM.
