eSIM compatibility check
To use eSIM, you must have an compatible device. Most phones produced post 2020 are eSIM compatible (or dual SIM). Devices purchased overseas may not be eSIM compatible.
Here's a quick way to check if your device is compatible:
Dial *#06# on your device.
If you see an EID number, your phone is compatible with eSIM.
If you’re unsure, check with your device manufacturer or order a physical SIM card.
Restricted and locked devices
If you purchased your device overseas or from another provider, your device may not be compatible on Belong’s network. Belong is not accountable to ensure device restrictions are fixed.
Devices purchased overseas
In rare cases, devices purchased overseas may be locked so that you can only use eSIMs from the country of purchase. In this case, you cannot use Belong eSIM and must reach out to your device manufacturer for options.
Managed or service provider locked devices
If you purchased your device from another Australian provider, they may have locked your device so you can’t use another provider’s eSIM. In this case, you must contact your previous service provider to unlock your device before getting Belong eSIM.
