I'm having trouble transferring my number

Porting your number usually takes up to 4 business hours but if you activate your SIM outside of Belong porting hours (8am- 8pm, Monday to Friday and 10am - 6pm, Saturday) it can take up to 36 hours.

If you've recently submitted your port, please wait for the email to confirm if your mobile service is connected. If you've received an email confirming that we couldn't port your number, we will let you know the reason why the port was unsuccessful, for example:

The date of birth you entered doesn't match the details associated with the mobile number you provided.

The date of birth must match the one held by your previous provider. If it doesn't match, this may be because you accidentally entered the wrong date, or the date on file with your previous provider is incorrect. Please:

  • double-check your date of birth with your current provider
  • sign-in to your account
  • try porting your number again.

The account number you entered doesn't match the details associated with the mobile number you entered.

The account number entered must match the one held by your previous provider. If it doesn't match, this may be because you accidentally entered the wrong number. Please:

  • double-check your account number with your previous provider; you should be able to find this on your bill or invoice
  • sign-in to your account
  • try porting your number again.

The account number you entered doesn't match any on file with your previous provider.

There is already a port in progress on this number.

Sometimes multiple number port requests are accidentally sent for one number. If this happens, all except the first one sent will fail. Please wait four business hours for the first port to complete.
