Saying goodbye to 3G

The 3G network will shut down mid-2024: what it means for you

Our mobile network is made possible by Telstra. Telstra is modernising its network and moving to the next generation in mobile technology. As part of that work, Telstra will close its 3G network on 30 June 2024 and that will affect our customers.

Most of our customers won’t notice a change: their devices will just keep using 4G. If your device can’t access our 4G network, you’ll need to upgrade to a 4G compatible device by 30 June 2024.

Don’t worry: we’ll let customers who will be affected by this change know well ahead of time. It always helps to be prepared and we’re here to help you get ready.

If you are going to upgrade your phone, remember to properly recycle your old one. can help you out with that.
